Banana Porridge

Banana porridge is made using green banana flour making it an excellent healthy choice to start your day.

It is made with instant banana flour that is ready in less than two minutes.

As a busy mum, I appreciate how little time there is in the mornings and yet we all know the importance of starting off the day with a healthy breakfast.

Banana flour has lots of health benefits and is gluten-free. It is a no fuss breakfast that is very simple to make

Ingredients for Banana Porridge:

Serves 2

  • 4 Tablespoons of Instant Banana Flour
  • 400ml of hot milk or water
  • Fruit, berries or nuts to top
  • Sugar or honey to taste (optional)

Method:

  1. Put the banana flour into a heat proof bowl or measuring jug
  2. Add the hot milk or water
  3. whisk vigorously with a whisk until smooth and creamy, this will take less than 1 minute
  4. pour into a serving bowl and add sugar or honey if using
  5. Top with fruit or nuts or both! Enjoy your gluten-free banana porridge.

Tip. Add less or more milk/water if you prefer your porridge thicker or thinner. You can half or double the recipe depending on the number of people you are cooking for.

This porridge is smooth so if you want it to have more texture, adding nuts or dried fruit is a good idea.
